HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE GUY?

Guy is a French name. It is not common in America, someone said because of one Guy Smiley, who I'm unfamiliar with. To say correct, think weee, or, quiche, they say 'GHEEEEE'. It is not "Gay".

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

Europe originally. Then we worked in Tangiers for 5 years on the kasbah circuit.

WHY DID YOU HAVE TO LEAVE TANGIERS?

Tangiers is a beautiful place with many beautiful womens. But they don't like these women to take their clothes off at rock performances. Also Guy was accused of selling drugs. They don't like that.

DO YOU HAVE ANY HOBBIES?

Racecar driving. Playing Guitar. Medicine.

WHAT DO YOU SOUND LIKE?

I'm always confused as to why this is frequently asked. Often immediately after I give someone the CD someone asks me this. Just put it in your SONY Discman and listen!

What we try do is emulate the music that came out of Germany and Belgium and France in the early 70's. On the one hand it was very ideological - emphasis on the repetitive looping beat, shunning improvisation. On the other hand it was more simple and pure groove - other than say progressive music which occured same time, or jam band that came later.

Our favorite bands are Can, NEU!, Tangerine Dream, Radiohead, The Early Years, AIR, and American Analog Set.

This question I'm asked very often, but often under police interogation and not in the context of the band. So, unless you are police, I will not comment.

WHICH ONE IS THE REAL GUY? OR WHO IS GUY?

Obviously we cannot tell you that, because we are all sharing his passport, but besides that we have come to like not having one leader of the band. Our music tries to capture fundamental rock elements which seem to only be produced when there are no solos or vocals or leaders to distract from what is actually going on.
